Just saw this on the PlayOn site, but not sure how long it is good for. The lifetime subscription is down to $50, so I'll be jumping on this!

They're having a big holiday sale this month.
PlayLater is also on sale for the first time as a onetime fee instead of monthly, or annually.

Thanks for the post! i will take the offer, but i am not quite sure how to switch from my current license to lifetime. I'm guessing i have to cancel and then purchase it -rather than just upgrade?

I never needed to cancel (or was told to on the site). I simply made a payment via PayPal and entered the new code. Instead of saying "PlayOn Premium Annual", it just now says "PlayOn Premium", which I'm assuming means lifetime.

@daflyboys: Purchasing a new license does not impact your current/previous license. Some people buy more than one license so an existing subscription license is not automatically cancelled when you buy a new lifetime license. If you have not canceled your annual license you should do so in order to avoid getting charged by Paypal for a renewal.

Confirmed at the PlayOn forums and it's more of a matter of cancelling the Paypal recurrent payment. The remainder of my annual is still good and can pass it on to someone else.

There is a promotion to get a free Roku box when you pay $79.99 for lifetime service for Playon.
I just received a free Roku box which is a great addition to my bedroom to access my Playon server. I already have a Roku in my living room and use it a lot.

Roku ran out of the Roku LT and has discounted the Roku 2 HD, so if you order during the promotion now you will get an upgraded box. Until Roku gets more LT's in stock, anyway.

I bought this but still I can not enjoy playon. There is always a problem to see anything.
