I like this one, I will try to keep it brief. It's soooo simple to use,but yet so far ahead of it's time. I hope this get's better and better,yes some media is broken but just a very small minority. Mainly due to each user devices incompatibility.I have tried this technique if the player lags or hiccups Press "Stop" then "PLAY".This usually works for me I am a Life long student Of KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)This Script does that and then delivers BAM! . Power to the PEOPLE !

Hello Guru(s) and all, Let me add my sincere thanks for PLAYON - to its primary developers, and to all my fellow digital alchemists that slave on their own to make the entire Playon experience just... cool.Finally - a software / solution developer that understands the old-school KISS principal... (ie: keep it simple stupid). Finally - able to go off the TV grid again! I am now watching one of the f*ckin funniest movies ever; "The B**s Br***ers" from MOVSHARE and if I didn't know that I was the genious who hooked it all up, and tuned the network and pc to cherry speed - I would sware it was a DVD or HDTV; and yet it buffered and started in less than 5 seconds (yes, after the second try - after I got the "Lost connection... but it beats waiting for "the red envelope" in the mail, or going fishing for torrents)". Jaw dropping Amazing. I think that from what I see in the forums, newbies (with all due respect..) are too quick to blame the software for being a piece of crap, rather than taking a step back from the problem, and troubleshooting the issues (making sure you're not running ANY unnecessary services or devices, checking your eventviewer for anything abnormal, etc) and seeing if its Mediamall's fault, or the fact that you're also running a small mail server, or ftp server, or web server on the same pc as the playon server. No. Bad. Ideally, this bad boy wants its own server, and fast network and disk drive i/o or you are never gonna be happy. Understand that if the Playon server is using the disk and memory of the pc for real time swappping, and you try to access a database running on that pc... unless the pc is fast enough, it is going to choke when you try to start your Playon Video. I hope this doesn't sound like a lecture. Far from. I'm just a geek whose been lucky enough to have a job thats also his hobby too. I would be happy to share what I've learned with anyone whose banging their head with a possible hardware or network issue. I bring almost 30 years of (well, at least what I can remember...) experience. As to If I ever get an error message saying "LOST CONNECTION TO PC", then I wait a couple of seconds for the current stream to stop, back out to where I can start movie again, wait a couple more seconds, and its all good again. Works every time. Its just that the XBOX, WII's orwhatever's processor(s) are slightly (duh) faster than the PLAYON's host (most probably), so when you are selecting a new flick, right after jumping out of an old one, you will overwhelm your host. Give it around 10 or so seconds after you quit out of last movie and it should respond to the server before it times out, so it will work this time. Worked for me also last night and have know idea why? It seems to work when it wants to. Could it be less users after 10:30 PM EST? I guess we take what we get for now! Great script!

I'm running the updated version, and it works fine for me. I'm using a Netgear EVA9150, Vista with an AMD quad core and 8 Gigs of memory. I set the Netgear buffer to 24 Gigs for streaming. Don't know if that really did anything but I can stream anything down I find with no breakdown in the feed. I love the bookmark feature. This site plus Hulu and I'm set. I rate this site a 10.

please fix this amazing script. the old version worked MUCH better. can't get anything to play on the newest version

Jeromy, I cannot tell you how much I respect and appreciate the work you put into this script. Blow off the negative as they don't understand all that is involved for development with a family and responsibilities and you didn't shut down stage 66. There are many of us that would be more than happy to give gift cards for you to develop another script most similar to this one. I am a movie reviewer and have a very large number of sites much similar to Movshare that I would be more than happy to share with you should you decide to develop another that are not paid, but upload sites, that may or may not have buffering issues. If you need to discuss any other issue that I may be able to help with, even a dedicated server for backups that would have to be used as a "search host" for legal reasons, let me know. please fix this great Script. It is the whole reason along with with Hulu that makes playon stand out as a great product

first of all my review, is just that the plugin is my most used. its awesome. second, is there something i'm supposed to do with the backups on here? 66stage moviejock, etc?

Not the best to navigate with a Wii controller, sifting through folders, trying to bookmark this and that - however, the quality and selection is fantastic. Probably my favorite script, although requires some searching. But, for free - you cannot expect effortless also.

By the way, Awesome script, best one yet, id like to see if anyone could top this one
